[JT] This is Halloween! This is Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone!  For some of you, this is like Christmas in October.  If you're anything like me, you love the whole month.  Something about it just makes the spooky, spookier; the scary, scarier; the horror, horrorie... er...   (?).  >.>

Anyway!  I'm not the type that goes out to Halloween parties or trick-or-treating (lack of a social life has nothing to do with this... I swear...).  Instead, I like to turn out all the lights and just drown myself in horror movies, books, comics, anything.  It's kind of fitting for today since Halloween was postponed til Saturday here (for those of you that don't know, I live on the east coast, so we've been kind of waterlogged.  Nothing extreme, but the city decided it would be better to be safe than sorry).  So I'll be talking to you about my favorite things to entertain myself with during the horrorday season, kind of like a Random Fandom: Halloween meets Blender.

Pulse 4) Movies

The classic.  Whenever someone thinks of horror, the first thing that pops into their head 99.9 times out of a hundred (I can do fractions : P) are movies.  There are plenty of classics to fill your time with: Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, etc., etc.  But I want to brag about my elitist/hipster (read as: personal and for no good reason) horror sensibilities and talk about a few that you might not think of:

Scream
Without a doubt my favorite horror franchise, the Scream series is the closest to iconic horror that this list will get.  I think everyone knows the story and the infamous line, so I won't spend too much time on it.  I have to at least mention it though because of how well it blends the horror meta with comedy and terror.

Resident Evil
The only possible movie series that has even given Scream a run for its money as my favorite.  I will preface this with the fact that I have not played many of the RE games (4 being the only one that comes to mind that I even attempted before just watching my roommate play in all of his free time).  Most of the RE games came before my appreciation of horror; back when I would avoid it like the plague.  As such, I am viewing these as their own entity, separate from the games in almost every way (and from what I have heard, that is pretty much the only way to watch the movies and actually enjoy them).  The mix of Alice in Wonderland references as well as the gradual mutation of the virus, as well as the general bad-assery of the lovely Alice (Mila Jovavich) make this series one I can watch over and over again.

Trick 'r' Treat
A collection of Halloween vignettes, Trick 'r' Treat is my favorite Halloween-themed movie, but I am not too sure why.  Perhaps it's discovering how each story weaves together with the others, or perhaps it is just nice to finally see the movie after it got delayed for two whole years, but this is the ultimate Halloween movie that "You've never heard of" for me, and I know this will be how I end my night.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

Honestly, is there anything to say about Jack and his movie?  While not really a true horror movie in the sense we're used to, I can't think of a better movie to kick off any Halloween season, and the best thing about it is you can watch it all the way through to Christmas too!

Pulse 3) Comics

Cabbage poot.  YAY!
I've recently started reading the The Walking Dead comics when my love of the show left me wanting more after the season finale.  That by itself provides hours of material to read and enjoy, but there is another comic that I always get the urge to read around this time of the year: I Luv Halloween.  There is just enough comic gore and sick situations that you want to keep reading, but not so much that you end up disgusted.  There is a full color version that you HAVE to pick up if you want to feel all the effects of the stories...

Pulse 2) TV shows

There are plenty of Halloween specials every year.  Some of my favorites are the original "Treehouse of Horror"'s from The Simpsons, but there are plenty of other classics; Boy Meets World had plenty of great Halloween episodes.   There are also a few series you might not have expected to have Halloween episodes, like Good Eats.  Yes, the Food Network show (still my favorite cooking show of all time) that mixed chemistry with the culinary had it's own Halloween themed episodes, including "The Bulb of the Night", where Alton tries to remedy a man named Vlad of his fear of garlic. O_o

Pulse 1) Creepypasta

I already talked about Creepypasta before in my very first Random Fandom, but it has to be mentioned again because they are the perfect thing to have on in the background while you are just mindlessly cruising the internet, or just too tired to do anything but lay in bed.  I also just wanted to reiterate how amazing Mr. Creepypasta's reading is.

Awh... we no longer have a pulse ( : P ).  So that's how I have been passing my time this month.  There is so much good horror out there that is just emphasized by the time of year.  I didn't even mention the After Dark Horrorfest series, or even horror anime.  Seriously, if you cannot find something creepy to send shivers down your spine, you're probably not looking at all, let alone hard enough.

How do you spend your Halloween?  Any epic costumes you were able to pull off this year?  Let me know in the comments.  And don't forget to tell me... What's your favorite scary movie?

[JT] CGC: The one where I go Game Day...

Game Day was today, yaaaaaaaay!!!
You know the deal, just did a Google search.

So, you already know what deck I played today, but here is the exact list since it's gone through a few mutations since the last time I talked about it...

-Creatures (17):
Deadeye Navigator x4
Angel of Serenity x1
Lyev Skynight x4
Dungeon Geist x4
Geist of Saint Traft x2
New Prahv Guildmage x2

-Planeswalkers (2)
Tamiyo, the Moon Sage x2

-Spells (18):
Detention Sphere x3
Oblivion Ring x1
Feeling of Dread x4
Azorius Charm x4
Sphinx's Revelation x3
Think Twice x3

-Lands (23):
Hallowed Fountain x4
Glacial Fortress x4
Plains and Island x15

Side:
Redirect x3
Negate x2
Syncopate x2
Purify the Grave x2
Oblivion Ring x1
Ghost Quarter x2
Fiend Hunter x2
Detention Sphere x1

I have decided that I no longer pilot this deck.  I now navigate it.  So let's take a look and see how well I navigated it today.

Round 1 versus Wu Humans: He would beat me down to a low life before my deck could come on line in both games.  Then with my tapping and detaining, he couldn't make another attack.  Mixed in with his own deck stalling on him, I was able to bash back for a win, 2-0.

Round 2 versus Wu Humans:  Played out pretty much the same as round one, except his deck was built a bit better, and I couldn't claw back fast enough.  Loss, 2-0.

Round 3 versus Golgari:  While I beat my opponent this round fairly soundly, he had me worried at a few points.  He would have either a Vampire Nighthawk or a Slitherhead (enchanted with a Rancor) with a Vraska, the Unseen that I had to prioritize my attacks and stall on, dragging the game out longer.  He actually got my life down fairly low both games (as in I won with 1 life left in game 2).  Win, 2-0.

Round 4 versus Bant Ramp: This was a fun round.  I want to preface this round with the fact that I saw this guy playing against a RUb Delver deck before the tournament, and he flooded ... hard.  We even had a little exchange about it and how he at least got it out of his system now before the tournament.  He came back with how with his luck, it will still happen....  So Game 1 he is flooding hard.  I'm bouncing and tapping all of his threats (Armada Wurms, Thragtusks, etc.).  I drop Angel of Serenity and he scoops.  Game 2, he ramps out and crushes me before I can get much in terms of a board presence.  Game 3, he starts to flood, but is keeping me from getting in for damage by Terminus'ing and Azorius Charm'ing my creatures while I'm tapping and O-Ring'ing/D-Sphere'ing his threats.  At this point though, he is flooding BADLY (He Sphinx's Revelation'ed for eight... and drew seven lands and a Farseek).  He then drops a Sigarda, Host of Herons on me.  I feel the game slipping away, until he lets me untap with a Deadeye Navigator soulbonded to a Dungeon Geist.  He swings in with Sigarda, I block and blink, saving my Geist (and me).  He drops Angel of Serenity, targeting my three creatures (including a Lyev Skyknight), I blink both Deadeye Navigator and Dungeon Geist, dodging the Angel's effect.  He Terminus'ed out of desperation, and I just followed up with another threat to end it.  Win, 2-1.

Round 5 versus RWB Control:  Game 1, I couldn't get anything to stick and he burns me out with Pillar of Flame after getting a Tamiyo Emblem.  Funny side note, I kept wondering how the hell he was able to end up with Cyclonic Rift's in his hand after bouncing back my stuff three end phases in a row, until I remembered he had the emblem -_-.  Game 2, I sided into a more control build via my counterspells, Redirects, O-Ring, and D-Sphere.  This turned into a long "Land, go." game.  There were sooo many D-Sphere's on the board.  Unfortunately, things got so drawn out that I couldn't deal with his tech'ed in Niv-Mizzit, Dracogenius and his pinging ability, especially after I made the stupid mistake of trying to Negate his Supreme Verdict *head desk*. Loss, 2-0.

So that's 3-2 overall, good enough for 8th place and three packs (our shop has a low prize pay out, but it's a guaranteed two packs no matter what).  I am once again surprised by how well my deck performed, and I am so happy with it.  I had considered making this the last time I pilot... err, excuse me... navigate the deck for now and focus on something that might be a little bit more competitive, but after today, there is no way I can do that.  I'm definitely keeping at this.  I have a few tweaks in mind, but can't really focus on any in any meaningful way right now, so I will hold off on that for now.

I really want to hear about how your Game Days went as well.  What did you run?  Any great matches?  Or even just awesome interactions.  Let me know in the comments.  In the meantime, I'll be tweaking this deck.

No witty sign off. Just... later!

[JT] CGC: I'm about to moon the hell out of you...

... No seriously, that's the alternate name to the deck I'm spotlighting in today's Deck Discuss.

This has been a long time coming.  You all know by now I have my Legend of Zelda EDH deck, Link of the Many, and with how much I talk about it, you would think it's my pride and joy of a deck.  You would be wrong.  As much as I love the flavor of the deck and tweaking in new story elements from the video games, my first love when it comes to my decks is my Patron of the Moon/Moonfolk EDH deck.

The Soratami have been my favorite tribe since I got started in Magic.  Ask anyone who knows me, and they will tell you I have an [unhealty?] obsession with the moon and the color blue, so it was kind of a no-brainer for me to identify with them.  It started out as a casual 60 card deck, but when I decided to make an EDH deck, it was kind of obvious which deck would get augmented first.  I now give you my baby...

General/Commander: Patron of the Moon

Creatures (24):
-Moonfolk
Uyo, Silent Prophet (alt. General)
Meloku, the Clouded Mirror
Erayo, Soratami Ascendant
Soratami Cloudskater
Floodbringer
Oboro Breezecaller
Moonbow Illusionist
Soratami Rainshaper
Soratami Savant
Soratami Mindsweepet
Soratami Mirror-Mage
Oboro Envoy
Soratami Mirror-Guard
Soratami Seer
-other
Keiga, the Tide Star (come on... a TIDE dragon... in a MOONfolk deck... there is NO better flavor than that...)
Kami of the Crescent Moon
Tideforce Elemental
Kira, Great Glass-Spinner
Azami, Lady of Scrolls
Hisoka, Minamo Sensei
Graceful Adept
Grand Architect
Trinket Mage
Adaptive Automaton

Planeswalker (3):
Tamiyo, the Moon Sage
Jace Beleren
Tezzeret, the Seeker

Spells (22):
-Enchantment
Training Grounds
Gravitational Shift
Xenograft
Tidal Flats
Favorable Winds
Honden of Seeing Winds
Parallel Thoughts
Archmage Ascension
Mind Unbound
-Instants
Cryptic Command
Tidal Wave
High Tide
Gush
Moonlace (it's flavor people... plus I'm waiting for that one moment where it does something to screw someone over)
Boomerang
Oppressive Will
Squelch
Deluge
Hinder
Redirect
-Sorceries
Counsel of the Soratami
Sleep

Artifacts (11):
Sapphire Medallion
Sol Ring
Storm Cauldron
Amulet of Vigor
Adventuring Gear
Moonring Mirror
Tatsumasa, the Dragon's Fang
Crystal Ball
Coat of Arms
Isochron Scepter
Ring of Evos Isle

Lands (39):
Oboro, Palace in the Clouds
Minamo, School at Water's Edge
Riptide Laboratory
Reliquary Tower
Academy Ruins
Magosi, the Waterveil
Buried Ruins
Faerie Conclave
Cephalid Coliseum
Haunted Fengraf
Seat of Synod
Islands x28

So let's talk about things a little bit.  First of all, why did I choose the Patron and not one of the actual Moonfolk?  Well, flavor was one reason.  Patrons are supposed to be the epitome of the tribes they represent (at least in my mind).  It's high (and ever increasing) mana cost can be seen as a deterrent from using it as a general, but his Moonfolk Offering ability allows you to cut his price in half.

The Patron of the Moon also has the unique ability of making up for one of the largest short comings of the moonfolk: the cost of their abilities.  Almost all of the moonfolk have some kind of activated ability that requires returning a certain number of lands you control to your hand, in addition to a mana cost.  With the Patron's ability, you can mitigate this by replacing two of the lands you returned, or just spam in lands at instant speed.

Yes... at instant speed.  Anyone remember a little mechanic from Zendikar known as Landfall?  How would you love to hit multiple Landfall triggers at once... on your opponents' turns?  Hence why I have Adventuring Gear and Tideforce Elemental in the deck.  Why just those two and not more, like Roil Elemental?  Because it got degenerate.  Thanks to two artifacts, Amulet of Vigor (searchable with Trinket Mage and Tezzeret) and Storm Cauldron, you can go infinite on mana, and yes, Landfall (i.e. "At the end of your turn, I use Roil Elemental's Landfall trigger to steal that creature... and that creature... and that creature... and tha- oh, you scoop?").  I allowed Tideforce Elemental to stay out of the sheer flavor (again, Tides and Moonfolk go hand in hand), and Adventuring Gear because while I can make the equipped creature stupid big, none of them have trample, so they can just be chump-blocked.

Now, here's where things get really fun, and where I am planning on taking this deck int he near future.  If I want to maximize the flavor of this deck (which is what EDH is for me: building with flavor), I think Arcane spells would be amazing additions.  I actually had them in the deck for a while, but everything was too spread out; trying to do too many things at once.  So I am trying to make it a bit more streamlined with the Arcanes, which is another huge reason I love having Isochron Scepter in the deck.  Besides being able to Imprint a High Tide on the Scepter, Imprinting an Arcane spell will allow you to continually have something to Splice onto.  Here are the Arcane spells I am looking to include:

Disrupting Shoal
Evermind
Consuming Vortex
Eerie Possession
Psychic Puppetry
Reweave
Veil of Secrey (Ok... so I lied about chump-blocking when I go infinite with Adventuring Gear ;))
Eye of Nowhere
Ideas Unbound
Murmurs from Beyond
Peer Through Depths
Petals of Insight
Reach Through Mists
Sift Through Sands
Stream of Consciousness
Toils of Night and Day

This is also why Uyo, Silent Prophet would make an excellent alternate General.  There are also a few other "Tide" cards that I am working on slotting into the deck.

So that's my Moonfolk EDH deck, and I love this thing to pieces.  It is the only deck I care about foiling out (I normal just pass on the foils since they go for way too much, just to fall off later), and I will trade things I need for other decks just to get pieces for this deck.  Case in point, when Sword of War and Peace was at it's peak (~$40), I traded it straight up for a foil Keiga, the Tide Star (~$25).  It is so much fun to play, and it's quite amusing to see the looks on people's faces when I reveal my General and they just sort of cock their heads a bit.

Now go out there and moon some people...

[JT] CGC: Magic: the Blendering 2

I sat here for 12.5 hours watching Pro Tour - Return to Ravnica today.  As round 15 wraps up and the top 8 were announced, I realized: Crap!  I haven't written anything for my post yet! >.<  So here I am, not sure what to write about.  My original idea was to do a deck discuss about my pride and joy of an EDH deck, but that deserves a larger post that has more time spent talking about it, so that will come later.  What I always do when I want to post something but can't formulate a topic?  I Blend[er] together multiple!

Pulse 1) Innistrad BLOCK Draft

So I get to my local game shop last night for FNM, and I get greeted with the information that they are out of Return to Ravnica (>.<).  Because of that, they decided to do an Innistrad block draft.  That means one pack of Avacyn Restored, one pack of Dark Ascension, and one pack of Innistrad.  For those of you that don't know this, the three blocks were not designed to be drafted together!  So the entire thing was a huge clusterfu- ...   a huge mess.  I ended up at 2-1 with a blue-black zombie deck with a Blood Artist and Diregraf Captain, only losing to a deck that was just a little bit quicker than mine.

Pulse 2) Load file: LINK

I'm constantly looking for ways to tweak decks, especially if it has something to do with the flavor.  If you all recall, I have an EDH deck based around The Legend of Zelda.  I have just this week decided to make two 'groups' of changes.

If you recall, before deciding that (despite her lack of a legendary super-type) Dawnray Archer makes the best Zelda in the deck, I was debating between Thada Adel, Inquisitor and Elspeth, Knight-Errant.  I'm bringing this up because Elspeth has been re-introduced to the deck, along with Tamiyo, the Moon Sage and Nissa Revane (yes... Nissa).  Why these three?  Well...  we have a courageous knight, a wise moonfolk, and a ... powerful... elf...?  Ok, the last one needs a bit more explaining, but I'll get to that in a second.  For those of you familiar with the origins of the Tri-Force, you know that it was created by three goddess: Farore, Goddess of Courage, Nayru, Goddess of Wisdom, and Din, Goddess of Power.

I wanted to include Elspeth because she powers up Link/Rafiq so well, but I had to find a way to make her fit the flavor.  The fact that she's a planeswalker makes her a unique being in the universe.  From there my brain slowly came to the thought of "what if the planeswalkers were confused for gods?  Hmmm... what gods are in the LoZ unive-OH MY GOD!"  From there it because a snap decision to include Elspeth and Tamiyo, two perfect embodiments of Courage and Wisdom (yes, Tamiyo... not Jace.  They're goddesses don't forget)...  and then I got to Power... with the only female green planeswalker... Nissa... Revane.  *sigh*

>.>  <.<  >.>  Ok...  has everyone who hates Nissa and think she's totally useless left?  Good.  If you're still here, then you win the prize and get to see how I reasoned my way into a new found appreciation for this elf-chick.  I wasn't too happy with it at first, but then I thought about it... and thought about... and realized how she embodies Power is by giving you a creature every turn, searching out her Chosen (2/2 that puts itself on the bottom of your library whenever he dies, so you can search him out again), and then Limit Breaking out into multiple creatures.  In my "world view" of Hyrule that I created, Power deals with creature power (and toughness), so she actually fits perfectly.

The other big change in flavor is I have finally found my "four" (actually three) giants from the Majora's Mask game.  I'll back up for a second though to talk about something else: the Fierce-Diety Mask.  This item was chosen for me by a member of The Mana Pool forums.  Eldrazi Conscription is an aura that SCREAMS Fierce-Diety Mask, and if you look closely, it is actually a Tribal Enchantment - Eldrazi.  I kick myself for not realizing it before, but that was perfect.  The Eldrazi have the scale and awe needed for giants that can
hold up the moon
.

Pulse 3) Game Day

I'm skipping FNM next week to hit a haunted theme park with Jas (Casual Daze maybe?).  However, Saturday is Game Day, so my CGC next week will be a look at how my Deadeye Control deck does after making some tweaks to it (assuming I can make it to the tournament)

Ok.  I think that's enough.  I spent a lot more space/time on the Link EDH flavor than I was expecting, but you know how I get with flavor.  It excites me and I just can't stop once I get started.  I'm exhausted though, so I am going to leave it at this.  Next weeks CGC will be up on Saturday or Sunday (i.e. definitely not Friday night like I have been trying to do), so I will see you then, if not sooner.

[Jas] Fall Anime Preview

[JT's note:  I am slowly coming to the realization it is all but impossible to go through and edit Jas's posts...  what with here random exclamations apparent A.D.D. So, I'm honestly not going to try too hard.  You all are going to suffer with me ;) ]

The leaves are changing, the skies are cloudy, and…and…SWEATER WEATHER HAS ARRIVEEDDDD~~!!!!!1!!! Also, just about as important to note, the new fall animes are debuting on streaming websites all over the place! Here, to tell you how I feel while wearing 12 sweaters is I!!

Let’s get started shall we? If you read my summer anime preview, then you know all about the faces I use to judge shows, but for you newbies I’ll go over the list again!
My rating scale:
Love it!    ()
Like it!  ()
It’s all right.  (・_・)
Ehhhh. ( ̄~ ̄;
Doubt it.   ( ;)
No way. ( _ )

Look kids, Akito is creepy smirking!
Code Geass: Boukoku no Akito: Well, I’ve seen the orginal Code Geass, and I liked it a lot!! The ending was so depressing though….like all endings end up being. I DON’T LIKE WHEN GOOD THINGS END! ;A; But…enough about old Code Geass…this is new Code Geass with Akito the Exile! (Sometimes I hate Dailymotion….DAMN ADS) The girl is cute :3 Hell, all the girls are pretty cute. Also…pretty wicked sweet mecha fights right from the get go! MMMmmmm I’m liking this so far, yes very much so.  Akito is awesome and so is the girl Lelia/Relia~~~ Also, that ending song…mmmm so nice and relaxing!
This is a type of OVA, and the second chapter is scheduled to be aired sometime in spring of 2013. ;A; SUCH A LONG WAIT NUU!!!

Also guys, this is NOT a sequal or ANYTHING! This is set BETWEEN R1 and R2 of the original!!! Okay? Good. Everyone’s got it.

Will I watch more? () I can’t wait for the next episode to come out in spring! EEEEEEEE~~

I understand your feels
Shinsekai Yori: OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG YES SO MUCH YES!! I can’t even. The beginning was enough to make me want to watch more….legit. Very interesting so far, set in the future, and it follows a group of friends. OH CATS?! CAT SPIRITS?! I have a feeling this is going to be a horror-esque anime, which greatly excites me! After Another, I’ve always wanted more horror animes to come out!

Will I watch more? () UHM YES! So far this seems very promising and I can’t wait to see what comes from it! I love scary things and also things that mention kitties. So far I’m excited for the fall animes! Wheee!

The leads~~
Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun: I like the art so far, and the opening which always a good thing. The characters all look really cute. (Cosplay feels already) The school uniforms are just adorable and bright! Hehehe!! OMG I LOVE HARU~~~ I CAN’T EVEN RIGHT NOW OMG I’M AFNAJKFNKAJFNJKAFNJKASMADL  YES I love Shoujo things and I can totally tell I’m going to love this!!  OMG THIS IS ALREADY SO BEAUTIFUL I WANT!
Will I watch more? () UHM NFJKANFJKA YES!!! I WANT ALL OF THIS! CAN THIS BE MY LIFE?!?!?! HARUUUUUUUUUUUU~~~~

All the men want her UNF
Hiiro no Kakera Dai Ni Shou: Well, I’ve never seen the first season of this called Hiiro no Kakera, so I don’t really understand what it’s really about. But I can gather it’s a reverse harem already, just from the opening and little intro hahaha! Well at least the men are really cute. I’m a little confused though, I feel like I should watch season 1 first if I want to watch season 2. Well, this episode does give some flashbacks to clear up some confusion. It seems to be rather slow though, not very fast paced at all. I can’t even begin to explain all of these flashbacks…I don’t think I’ve seen a second season first episode with so many flashbacks before.  Also, same villains from season 1 look like they will be in season 2…at least that’s what I’m gathering from the flashbacks. Man I feel like I watched the whole first season in this episode or something….

Will I watch more? (・_・) Well, obviously I’d have to watch season 1 first. I’m not sure if I’m totally drawn in though, the second season first episode has a lot of flashbacks, aka when the lead girl met all the harem guys. Even though I’d like a man harem in real life, animes with them don’t interest me too much. The men are always so clichéd and you ALWAYS know who she is going to pick in like the first few episodes, so it isn’t that fun.

YOU DON'T TOUCH HIS MASTER GOT IT??!
Hayate no Gotoku! (Can’t Take my Eyes off You!): Oh my goodness I do not understand at all what is going on! This is apparently an independent series and is NOT a sequel to the original. I haven’t seen the previously aired series, but apparently that shouldn’t be a big deal….I think. Since this is independent. Though, it would probably be a good idea….hmmm~ (Man these mirrors are HATING on me today :< ) Well, it seems like a comedy with a little romance and a bit of action. It’s not really my style though. The art isn’t really my style either.

Will I watch more? (・_・) I don’t really think so. Maybe in a passing fancy, but it won’t be on my list. If I watched anything it would be one of the previously run prequels before watching this one. Or if I get bored and feel like I want to watch something.

Omg they are just too cute XD
Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!: About…8th grader syndrome? LOL oh my goodness, I’m pretty sure I had that too…back when I was in 8th grade (Oh god that was forever ago) but this looks hilariously cute so far! I just have a thing for girls with eye patches honestly~ hehehe~ oh my goodness, my middle school life pretty much mimics mine, this is glorious! OMG I LOVE THIS!!! I LOVE THIS SO MUCH! THIS IS GOING TO BE AMAZING!!!  LOL COLORED CONTACTTSSS!!!! Literally can this be my life? (I say that about everything) This is going to be super cute though, a slice of life comedy!

Will I watch more? () UHM YES INDEED! My wicked eye has reacted to this show! My eyeeeee!!! Hehehehhehe~ I can’t say no to an adorable girl with an eye patch who has 8th grader syndrome! XD squuueealllllll!!! The fall is certainly gearing up to be a wonderful season indeed!!

My husband *3* ~~ chuuuu
Gintama: IT HAS RETURNED!! I won’t even bother really reviewing this one…cause well……Gin is my husband (and body pillow on my bed) so yeah. Now we all know my feelings on this show coming back with another season. Excuse me while I go cuddle with my pillow. NJgknkangkangjakgnakgnajkgnajgnaksgn my dreams have all come true~~~ DON’T YOU WORRY GIN I LIKE YOU MORE THAN KIN ANYDAY COME INTO MY ARMS!!!!!!!!!!!  YOUR SILVER IS MUCH MORE BEAUITFUL INDEED!!!! *explodes into a firey mass of love*

Will I watch more? () OBVIOUSLY FOR MY HUSBAND!!! GINTOKI I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU FOREVER FOREVER AND FOREVER!!!

Hilarious...yet...morbid....like me!
Litchi DE Hikari Club: So, I’ve read this manga and OMG terrifying and glorious all at the same time! It’s a great read, I recommend it TOTALLY! Go read it! (Well, unless you don’t like horror…then don’t read it) So, obviously when I see that it’s getting an anime I got excited…though it wasn’t at all like what I was expecting. It’s a 2:30 min long chibi-type comedy sketch anime. That really isn’t my style for animes…so I doubt I’ll really watch more of it.

Will I watch more?  (・_・Probably not, though it’s super short and clearly won’t take up much time. Maybe I’ll go back and watch it just for the laughs but it obviously won’t be a fore runner in my viewing list…considering it wasn’t what I wanted it to be at all. D:

Super hot slam downs coming your way!
Zetsuen no Tempest: Magic, hot boys, and a cute girl stranded on an isolated island. I think this is going to be an interesting series! I love the two main boys, mmmmm yes magic wielding men might be my favs! For a first episode it went pretty fast, already put up a cliff hanger that means I HAVE to watch the second episodes. Plus, there is revenge, and I have a soft spot for revenge.

Will I watch more? () I do believe that I will be tuning into this baby in the future! It looks promising and I’m liking all the character designs as of now. Hehehe!

UNF LEMME HOLD YOU BABY~
K: Let me tell you something…I hate it when people send me back one letter texts with ‘k’. So….right from the beginning, before I even clicked on the button, that was the only thought in my head.  Gangsters? LOL omg I love hearing English in animes I feel like I actually have to listen to understand what they are saying!! ALSO….adorable Lolita girl!! Eeeeehhhhh~~ Supernatural gangsters?! There are just no normal gangsters nowadays I suppose. I am so confused. I do like the angles they use during the skateboarding scenes though….awesome!

Will I watch more? (・_・)  Uhmmmmm I’m not sure….I can’t tell if I’m going to like it or not. It seems like it’s rather complex….maybe I’ll give it a try, but I’m not sure yet or not. Perhaps, but I’ll have to think about it….though there is a cute cat…..mmmmm cats

Yes you are, you whiny bitch
Btooom!: Okay, the name of this series itself had me interested. It just sounds so funny to say aloud.
[JT's note: Btooom, btooom... Gotcha.]  So, the first few seconds and I feel like I’m watching a war game or something…..oh….well that’s because I am.  So this is pretty much about a popular video game, and the lead character is an antisocial hermit with pretty much no real life outside the game world. Annnnd now it feels like I’m watching LOST or something. Yep LOST. WELL NOW I KNOW WHAT’S GOING ON ALL RIGHT WELL NOW!!! The lead man appears to be a moron……

Will I watch more? () Certainly interesting and a little freaky, with the whole bomb thing. It still reminds me of LOST though…well, only a little bit now. Video games IN REAL LIFE!!!!! Well…I think I will keep watching this. It’s like LOST meets Battle Royale…with video games.

Tits
To LOVE-Ru Darkness: Okay, so here is one that I actually DID start watching the prequel! Granted, I never actually finished the prior season though. I loved the character designs, the girls were adorable, but….I just couldn’t get into the story. It’s still the normal harem anime with tons of cute girls and ecchi-ness to be had all around. It’s a little too over the top sometimes and the plot line is rather bland, kinda generic in my opinion…well…like most ecchi animes tend to be. Remember children…there is “mild” nudity in this here show.

Will I watch more? (・_・) I doubt it…I don’t think I can really get into this series. It’s ecchi, so I’m sure some of you out there will like it haha! Granted I do like mild nudity and panties and all, but I like panties with story lines. Soooo…I’m going to be passing on season 2 this time around.

Could you say no to those girls??!
Hidamari Sketch x Honeycomb: Same art as Madoka. Totally MOOOEEEEEE~~~~~ OMG EVERYTHING IS BLINDINGLY ADORABLE!  Girl crushesss~ Just a super adorable slice of life silly anime. No action, nothing super natural, just relaxing moe girls doing moe things and what not.

Will I watch more? ( ̄~ ̄;Nope. I like cuteness, but animes like this really aren’t my style. It is super adorable though! There just isn’t enough going on the really catch my attention…such a shame.

I want my master to be more attractive (burn)
Busou Shinki: Immeditately I started thinking of CLAMP. Kinda like….Chobits meets Angelic Layer. Def WAAAAYYY more like Angelic Layer than Chobits though. But instead of being called Angels, they are called Shinki. I love CLAMP, like more than life itself..but this is not CLAMP, so I feel a little cheated. :I I’m not a huge fan of the art style either really….but maybe I’m just not giving it a chance by not liking it immediately after like the first 4 minutes…. >_> The lead guy is plain/boring looking and stereotype glasses man with a super cute mini chobit/angel oh wait…I mean Shinki. Of course…more mini girls show up. He has like a mini robot girl harem…>_> Yeahhhhh!

Will I watch more? ( _ ) Nope. Nada. I don’t know…I just don’t like it. It really isn’t my style at all. Just…..I don’t know. I didn’t like it when the intro started. I don’t think I’ll be watching this one at all…instead maybe I’ll re-watch me some Angelic Layer.

looks like me everyday
Onii-chan Dakedo Ai Sae Areba Kankeinai yo ne: oh my gawd huge title right there! And cue adorable little girl who is just too damn adorable for her own good. I’M HOME BIG BROTHER!!!! And then cue incest moments with mildly uninterested older brother and sexually mischievous younger sister! Oh come on you saw it coming…I mean Onii-chan is in the title for petes sake, we all know what that means. And now cue multiple cute ladies entering the picture aka cue romantic love rivals. Harem time START!

Will I watch more? () Hahahahhahah I don’t even. All I can think of is that this would make a wonderful hentai…cue Fakku reading! LOL Like legit, first 10 min = the intro for most steamy incest hentai mangas. Granted, I’m an only child so I don’t understand sibling things at all bahaha! Well, as far as harem animes go, I do like the whole situation with the little sister thing and the aggressive women in this harem…. Well…perhaps I’ll give this harem one a go-go this season…..perhaps! (For above reasons though I doubt that I’ll actually finish it)

Oh shit son!!!
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure (2012): A remake of a popular anime that I’m pretty sure people told me to watch like 1 million times, but I never actually got around to watching the original.  The animation style isn’t something I’m keen on, it’s super Shonen. Also..super creepy ass mask. Oh my goodness I don’t know if I can handle these characters….oh my gaawwwdddd. Dio is just a dick face! A GIANT DICK FACE I DON’T EVEN UNDERSTAND! Everything is so overly dramatic in this.

Will I watch more? ( ;) I doubt it. Like I completely doubt it. I don’t know if I can handle the intense shounen characters and overly dramatic…well….everything about this anime.

Meeoooowwwww~~~
Little Busters!: Interesting high school setting in the beginning with a fight breaking out, but like a friendly fight between bros. A group of child hood friends that call themselves ‘Little Busters’ and who you know “vanquish evil” and do other adorable things as children. Lonely little boy joins this group and becomes one of them. The girl is covered in cats…..I like her. I swear there is a cat in like almost every anime this season….I like it. Also, there seems like a nice boy to girl ratio! Comedy runs amok. [JT's note:  Awh...  it has nothing to do with FLCL? :( ]

Will I watch more? (・_・)  “Even cats fall from poles.” Probably the best quote from the entire first episode. Not going to lie. Also, Kyousuke is like my life soul mate or something. Soooo…I find it hard to make an actual judgment on this show based solely on the first episode. Clearly, I think it’s a slice of life comedy about kids getting ready to face the real world after high school and trying to make the most of their time together before they might go their separate ways. But, I’m not sure if I’ll really like it or not yet.

burn, baby, buuurrrnnn
Code:Breaker: Clearly supernatural, within like the first few seconds + hot boy. Whoa now, the lead girl is bold, intense, a little socially behind the times, and cute! She stumbles into something that she shouldn’t and BAM, cue the transfer student with amazing acting skills. This looks interesting and leaves off at a cliffhanger. It leaves a pretty good amount in the dark and revealed just enough to make want to watch more.

Will I watch more? () I think I’m going to HAVE to watch episode 2! I like supernatural things and there seems to be some kind of revenge thing going on with the lead guy. This seems like it will end up being interesting, so I think I’m going to give it a go go go this season!

How to start a confession!!
Sukitte Iinayo (Say I love you): I’ve been keeping up with this currently on-going shoujo manga and I LOVE IT! I actually had my hair cut like the main girl for a while…like legit…I brought in a picture of her from the manga and asked my stylist to cut my hair like it. (She was a little freaked out) So anyways, enough about the manga, let’s look at the anime! Another girl with a …you guessed it…CAT!! :3 So, it’s pretty much about a girl who has been bullied and hasn’t had any friends for 16 years and she has convinced herself that she doesn’t want any friends because then she will only be hurt. Now she’s in high school! So, as in most shoujo, now you cue the attractive most popular guy in school that doesn’t think like the other guys and thinks she is interesting.

Will I watch more? () UHM YES! Loved the manga, can’t wait to see if the anime lives up to it!! I love Mei, she is one of my favorite shoujo girls! Eeeeeee I love her!! I kinda know where she is coming from, it’s not like I got bullied really, but I didn’t have many friends at all as a child and preferred to be aloof. I’m just so excited for the anime!!!!!!!!!!~~~~~

KAWAAAIII~~~
Magi: I cosplayed from this without even reading the manga prior. I still don’t know all that much about it, rather than all the boys look adorable. So this anime is pretty much going to be me learning about the character I cosplayed back during the summer LOL! (I probably shouldn’t be admitting to that) oh my goodness….”Why does this man have boobs?” perfect. Pure perfection. I do believe I am going to enjoy this anime. (Plus, my bestest friend/lover/husband told me to read the manga) OH MY GOD THAT UGO OH MY GOOD LORD I CAN’T EVEN!!!!!!!

Will I watch more? () Oh my goodness, I love the character I cosplayed already, he is freaking adorable.  So interesting! I’m liking where this is going, it certainly seems like it will be a fun anime with action and comedy! BE MY FRIEND!!!

I loved this manga...so much ;3;
Bakuman Season 3: I’ve read this whole manga and LOVED IT TO DEATH! I’m pretty sure I cried at one point…I cry more while reading manga than I do at pretty much any other time. Also, I’ve watched seasons 1 and 2 of this anime, just to see if they live up to the manga. It’s doing all right so far :3 If you’ve never seen/heard of Bakuman before, it follows the dreams of two boys trying to become mangka for JUMP. The story was written by the creator of death note, and I adore his art style! It’s realistic, romantic, and hilarious! I really loved the series and the anime is rather good as well, but, well, I always love the mangas more~ XD

Will I watch more? () I’ll probably come back to it later, maybe after it’s finished and watch it all at once. I’ve already read the manga, so I’d like to watch the anime, but with so many new series that I haven’t read or seen before, I’ll give them priority over this one!

Can I just be this girl??
Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo: Cats are like the most recurring theme ever this season…I can’t even. It’s like this isn’t the fall anime list but the CAT anime season list. OH PANTY SHOT FIRST THING IN THE MORNING! Cute panties too. All the characters in this are LOONY! (I’d fit right in) Seems like this is going to be a romance-type anime, set in high school, with a normal boy and a girl who is a little bit strange.  And it seems like each of the characters either has something to do with anime or manga. EECCCHHIII!! Now this is an ecchi anime that I could probably get into!!

Will I watch more? () You know….I think I might. Especially cause of the cats being important and the girl being super adorable and drawing awesome manga. I mean come on, that’s just awesome. Who wouldn’t want that? I would/do. Yep. I like this a lot! I will watch it!

Whut?
Uchurei!: From the thumbnail itself I don’t think I’ll really like this. I don’t think I can handle the art style. The lines are all wobbly and what not. Also…those facial expressions. It’s like anime tried to go Adventure Time but it just didn’t quite work out the way they planned or something. Also….this is super weird…I mean like…super super super weird. Aliens? Weird creepy aliens. What.

Will I watch more? ( _ ) Nope nope nope. Nope nope nope nope. That’s all I can say about it.

And my mind is in the gutter.....
Girls und Panzer: Und ist totally german, which I speak, so that interested me right off the bat. Whoa. What? Interesting camera angles for sure. School girls in tanks? A pink tank? A yellow tank? What even is this?? Omg random german. Ach ja! Du sprechen bitte Deutsch? Sehr gut! Granted, I can totally tell that the subber is just throwing in random german subs because they are still speaking Japanese. Apparently having little school girls with weapons in like a new fad or something. This reminds me of that other show…Upotte!!? Where the girls were guns. Reading the german subs sure made me smile though! Hehe!

Will I watch more? ( ̄~ ̄;THE POOR GIRL DOESN’T WANNA DO PANZERFAHREN! LEAVE MIHO ALONE! WAHHH!! Anyways. The girls are cute. The story makes 0 sense to me at the moment. The subs have random german words thrown in. Being in a tank makes you a woman. Just so you know. But….nope, I don’t think I can handle this anime. I can’t. LOL NOPE!

LET ME LOVE YOU FOX DEMON!!!
Kamisama Hajimemashita: Girl left homeless by her gambling and good-for-nothing-father. She’s cute though! So she saves a beautiful glasses man who tells her to move into this place, but then runs into a SUPER FUCKING SEXY FOX DEMON and becomes a Deity! Interesting!

Will I watch more? () I do believe that I like this….it’s interesting. Also Fox Demon is super sexy and I can’t even handle it!! It looks like it will be adorable…but the site I normally watch my anime on isn’t hosting it…so I’ll have to remember to switch sites to watch it (which I’ll probably forget to do >_> but I’ll try to remember!)

So. Much. Pink.
Aikatsu!: Moe girls in adorable dresses that are in middle school. The girl becomes what…….an Idol! For a second I thought it was going to be a magical girl and I was going to be a little more excited (I have a soft spot for magical girls) Though it looks like getting dressed = a magical girl transformation pretty much. So the two friends and the one girl’s little brother head to an idol concert for the first time. It mixes CG and traditional animation. Being an idol = a children’s card game XD LOL So they apply for an idol academy.

Will I watch more? ( ̄~ ̄;Uhm, nope. I don’t know, I’ve just had enough idol animes for a while. It didn’t seem like anything special and didn’t catch my attention like AKB0048 had a few seasons ago or anything.

First thing I thought: Scar's child??!?
Jormungand: Perfect Order: This is the second season to Jormungand. Well, let’s start with the normal statement that I haven’t seen season 1, so I pretty much know nothing about this. No one has told me about it either, and all I know is what I just looked up on myanimelist.com, which is that it’s about the arms market and a child solider. So obviously I’d have to watch season 1 to really be able to start watching season 2.  It seems interesting though.

Will I watch more? () I’m not sure….I might…but at the same time I can’t really tell if it will be up my alley or not. I like Koko though, she seems really intense….so maybe…maybe at some point I will start watching season 1 and see what this whole thing really is all about!

First car at age, like 10. Normal.
Chousoku Henkei Gyrozetter: Mecha right off the bat. This is a normal shounen type show, kinda like Yu-Gi-Oh and the like, but with Mecha. The lead is clichéd with silly hair and an obnoxious voice. You learn to drive these automotive cars when you are apparently a child. >_> Yeah. I don’t even know. Yep. He wants to be a hero. Omg no. I don’t think I can handle this one.

Will I watch more? ( ;) Yeahhhh nooooooo. I just can’t get into it. It seems like it would have been a show picked up by Cartoon Network or something. Too clichéd for my liking this season.

Violence is a no-no kids!!
Medaka Box Abnormal: I started watching the first season of Medaka Box, but I quit after only a few episodes. I don’t know, it just didn’t hook me in like others had.  It’s pretty much about a girl who is extremely smart and gifted. Seems like there is a lot of action as well in this. Maybe I should have given it a shot back when season 1 was out? I think I’d need to watch season 1 to acutally understand. Oh man, all these people look redic. XD God those tits. So basically there are three types of students: Normals, Specials, and Abnormals. The lead girl, Medaka is an Abnormal. Hmmm…interesting.

Will I watch more? () Perhaps I’ll watch season 1 all the way through this time around. It certainly seems like it will be interesting indeed. Perhaps I’ll ram my way through the first season so that I can see if the second season is worth it or not.

So that concludes the fall animes that I previewed this season! There were so many! x_x I thought my head was going to explode or something. (Or maybe it already has, what do I know?) So anyways, after all that...let's see what is going on my to-watch list for the fall season!!!

1. Gintama
2. Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun
3. Shinsekai Yori
